Welcome to the Invert Journal
Not everything that happens here needs a full blog post.
Sometimes it’s a new arrival settling in. Sometimes somebody has moulted overnight, an enclosure has been rearranged for the hundredth time, or an insect I thought I understood suddenly does something completely unexpected.
That’s what the Invert Journal is for.

The main Blog is where I’ll put the more detailed articles: care information, species guides and things that need proper research and explanation. The journal is a little different. It’s a place to track the smaller moments that happen in between.
There will be observations, rescues, new arrivals, life stages and behind-the-scenes bits from the animals I keep. Some entries might follow something over weeks or months; others might simply be one interesting thing I noticed that day.
A lot can happen in the life of a very small animal, and I’ve realised how easy it is to forget those little details if I don’t record them somewhere.
I also want space for the animals that don’t usually get much attention. Feeder insects that were given a second chance, common species that turn out to be anything but boring once you actually watch them, and all the strange little behaviours that never seem important enough for a whole article but are still worth remembering.

There probably won’t be a neat plan for everything that ends up here.
And I think that’s the point.
The Invert Journal can grow alongside the animals – one moult, arrival, rescue and unexpected moment at a time.
